An original take on designing daily objects is what brought together Anne Masson and Eric Chevalier in 2003 after they both followed extensive textile design studies. Their designs are at the border of recycling and experimentation, investigating new or unusual ways of putting different materials together, and that leads to a miscellaneous production including scarves, cushions, hangers, chairs or carpets, whatever is there around in everyday life. Le Chevalier Masson explore levels of designs, splitting the layers of the notion, focusing on structure here by combinations, and the surface there with textures or just on the appearance with patterns. The process of their work is always mixing craftsmanship with an industrial implementation, produced between Belgium and France, making it the continuity of their work, of their "collections".
