Olivier Borde GARDE ROBE - Now available at MARIA LUISA Paris

Created by Olivier Borde in 2008 after co-designing Charles Anastase womenswear collections for several years, the menswear label Olivier Borde GARDE ROBE first collection for Fall 08 was unveiled during the international fashion festival of Hyeres with Ricardo Tisci as Jury president.
For Summer 09, the collection draws upon the work of Mike Disfarmer and Richard Avedon’s In the American West project and the influence of the “working class” and contemporary traveler culture in the United States. Borde's label became an underground sensation among fashion insiders with substantial press following, including New York Times Style Magazine, Dazed & Confused Japan, Fantastic Man and more.
The Summer 09 collection from Olivier Borde GARDE ROBE is now available at MARIA LUISA Paris, and for the ones who can't make it to the fashion capital, www.marialuisaparis.com .

The Fashion Party Is Over - Prada Fall 09

For Fall 09, Miuccia clearly expressed what seemed to be in everyone's mind for Milan Fashion Week: The Fashion Party is Over (remember Neon Judgement?).
"It s all about the death of the nightclub" she confirmed backstage to FWD's Godfrey Deeny, "And about a new desire for a rural retreat, where clothes are strong and sturdy". And indeed, strong and sturdy the oufits are, beginning the show with a series of coats and suits in "come down" colors going from mustard to rust.Brown and Olive sleeveless dresses revealing some bright red followed, renewing Prada's signature tailoring and waist obsession.
The Prada women for fall is about to be a warrior but has that hint of refinement that gives her away. The Fashion Party is Over but style celebration isn't.
